A Little Spring Cleaning
Just in time for summer I was able to remove spam that was submitted to my blog before I started using Askimet. Askimet is a great SPAM filter. If you have a WordPress blog and don’t have an Askimet key, get one! Trust me it’s totally worth it.

I assume you’re hosting your own blog Eliot. Is it really worth the hassle? I have WordPress-hosted blogs and all of the spam filtering and other goodies are taken care of…

Yes, I am hosting my own blog. Yes, you are right, its not worth the hassle. A couple years back I decided to start blogging and wrote my own blogging software. That was fun but a lot of work. I switched to WordPress because of this. A WordPress hosted blog might be in my future. We will see. So far I haven’t gotten fed up with doing it old school.
