Did Solyndra hurt solar development in the US?
You may have heard this by now, but Solyndra filed for Chapter 11. Yes, that is bankruptcy. When I heard about this government backed company, I thought okay we are going down the right path. We are now investing in companies making solar solutions. My optimism came crashing down when I heard the Chapter 11 news. This is more ammunition for fossil fuel enthusiasts. The truth is our infrastructure for fossil fuels are very safe and stable. We have invested tons of money and decades making it safe. Clean energy has a lot overcome to be the primary provide in the States.
